What Happens During Your 13 Hour Exclusive Access at The Mohicans Treehouse Resort & Wedding Venue
Most wedding venues give you four or five hours. Some make you share the space with another event. At The Mohicans Treehouse Resort & Wedding Venue, you get 13 uninterrupted hours where the property is entirely yours. That means your florist isn't racing against the clock. Your photographer can shoot during golden hour without getting kicked out. Your guests aren't shuffled out the door at 10 pm because another couple booked the next slot. It's one event, one day, zero competition for time or space. Here's how couples actually use those 13 hours at The Mohicans and why it changes everything about planning your wedding.
Your Full Day at The Mohicans Treehouse Resort
Couples schedule their 13 hour access to begin with entry time at 9 or 10 am depending on the day of the weekend. Your florist and caterer can work without tripping over each other, and your planner has room to handle setup without negotiating space with another event crew.
The three party suites upstairs at The Mohicans Treehouse Resort & Wedding Venue have beauty bars with good light. You're getting ready, steps away from the ceremony site, not in a hotel across town.
Ceremony on the West-Facing Patio
We set up ceremonies on the ground-level patio surrounding the forest at The Mohicans. It's handicap accessible, and the east facing exposure provides a stunning backdrop of the Mohican Valley. We provide the rustic arbor and white garden chairs.
If the weather turns, the covered pavilion keeps guests dry while maintaining the open air feel.
Cocktail Hour With Breathing Room
After the ceremony, guests move to the covered cocktail bar deck. Your bartender sets up, your caterer passes appetizers, and you take family portraits with nature filled sounds and sights.
Because you have exclusive access, there's no pressure to condense cocktail hour. If photos run long, you can extend by 15 or 20 minutes without disrupting another party.

Reception in the Timber-Frame Barn
The main dining room and mezzanine at The Grand Barn combine for about 2,500 square feet. We handle the foundation: farmhouse dining chairs, tables, the 24-foot rustic head table, white lights on the hand-hewn beams, greenery, and chiffon drapery. The solid oak staircase and crystal chandelier gives you that refined rustic feel The Mohicans is known for.
We seat up to 200 in warm weather, 150 in winter. Your off-site caterer uses the serving kitchen to plate and serve meals however you want.
The Evening Without Cutting Corners
Grand entrance, toasts, dinner, cake cutting, dancing. It all fits without feeling rushed at The Mohicans. Some couples run a sparkler exit. Others set up a late-night snack station. The 13 hours give you room for what matters to you.
Your Event Day Manager stays through the end, and security is on site the entire time.
Why This Changes Your Planning
At The Mohicans, you can choose a caterer who needs extra setup time. You can schedule a first look at 11 am without worrying that the venue isn't open yet. Your photographer can shoot during golden hour because you're not being kicked out at sunset.
Your guests get a fuller experience, too. They're arriving at a finished space and leaving when they're ready, not when the venue needs to flip for the next event.
