Inside Our Spring Wedding Show at The Mohicans Treehouse Resort and Wedding Venue
Sunday, April 12, 2026, brought something special to The Grand Barn at The Mohicans Treehouse Resort and Wedding Venue. We opened our doors for a wedding show, welcoming engaged couples to experience our venue in a way that goes beyond a traditional tour. With 311 tickets sold and approximately 200 attendees filling the space on a gorgeous 70-degree spring afternoon, the energy was everything we hoped it would be.
A Perfect Day to Showcase The Mohicans
The weather couldn't have been more cooperative. Sunny skies and comfortable temperatures let couples explore our 75 wooded acres exactly as they'd experience them on their wedding day. From noon until 3pm, the property came alive with the sounds of live music, conversations with preferred vendors, and the excited chatter of couples envisioning their celebrations in our forest setting.
Twenty-five of our currently booked 2026 and 2027 clients joined us, giving prospective couples the chance to connect with real brides and grooms who've already chosen The Mohicans Treehouse Resort and Wedding Venue for their own weddings. That peer-to-peer conversation proved invaluable throughout the afternoon.

The Atmosphere and Experience
Walking into The Grand Barn, couples were greeted by stunning floral displays created by Four Seasons Floral. The arrangements showcased how our timber frame architecture and hand-hewn logs provide the perfect canvas for wedding decor, with our crystal chandelier catching the afternoon light.
Hatton Entertainment filled the barn with live music throughout the event, giving attendees a sense of how sound carries in our unique two-story space. Our newly renovated bar served mimosas that quickly became the afternoon's standout refreshment. Couples could imagine their own cocktail hours on our covered bar deck while sipping drinks and taking in the forest views.
Three of our preferred caterers brought their expertise to the wedding show at The Mohicans. City BBQ, Village Catering, and CookinGenie offered food samples that demonstrated the range of culinary options available. From classic comfort foods to elevated private chef services, couples tasted firsthand how their reception menus could reflect their personal style.
Exploring Lodging and Grounds
The wedding show at The Mohicans extended far beyond The Grand Barn's walls. We opened several lodging units for tours, giving couples a complete picture of the wedding weekend experience their guests would enjoy.
The Nest Treehouse, which comes included with every venue rental, saw steady traffic throughout the afternoon. The Tin Shed and White Oak treehouses also welcomed visitors, showcasing the variety of accommodations available for wedding parties and guests. The Mohican Cabin, our largest lodging option sleeping up to 15, gave couples with bigger families a sense of how everyone could stay together on the property.
Between tours, attendees walked the half-acre pond area, explored both the North and South Village sections of the property, and discovered the countless photo opportunities our wooded setting provides. The east-facing ceremony patio, our default outdoor ceremony space, let couples envision their vows with the forest as their backdrop.

Connecting with Preferred Vendors
Ten preferred vendors set up throughout The Grand Barn, creating an opportunity for couples to have meaningful conversations without the overwhelming crowds typical of larger bridal shows. Four Seasons Floral and Botanica Flowers showcased different approaches to wedding florals. Rockin Al represented our entertainment options, while photographers from Mohican Media and Chelsea Marie Photography displayed their work captured at previous Mohicans weddings. Salon 361 discussed bridal beauty and styling services.
Our photo booth setup inside the venue became an unexpected highlight. Couples, families, and even some of our booked clients jumped in for selfies and group shots, capturing the spirit of the afternoon.
The Personal Touch
Throughout the event, our owner moved through the crowd, meeting with couples and answering questions only someone deeply connected to the property could address. Several dates were booked on the spot, with couples feeling confident in their decision after experiencing the venue, meeting vendors, and getting a true sense of what The Mohicans Treehouse Resort and Wedding Venue offers.

Conclusion
Our wedding show proved what we've always believed: The Mohicans Treehouse Resort and Wedding Venue is more than a venue. It's a complete wedding weekend experience where your celebration unfolds naturally in a setting that feels worlds away from everyday life. Watching couples walk our grounds, tour our treehouses, and connect with vendors who understand our unique forest setting reminded us why we love hosting weddings here.
If you missed our April wedding show at The Mohicans, we invite you to schedule a private tour. Walking the grounds, seeing our treehouses and cabins, and envisioning your wedding weekend in our forest setting is the best way to know if The Mohicans is right for you.
