Blake always slays the game, even if she’s looking au natural. Blake’s loose, beachy waves make it look effortless for her! If you don’t have curly hair by nature, you can just make big, loose curls with a large curling iron or wand (wand is easier in my opinion) then finger comb them out after. Add some texturizing spray or sea salt spray and you’re good to go!
Another sort of “effortless” look, this one features a fishtail braid and a flower accent. This look is the perfect middle ground when you want your hair back, but not fully back like in an updo. You could do a messy braid off to one side, or a double-layered one like Blake did here! Then, you can muss it up and pull some face-framing pieces down and lightly curl them. The perk of a messy look: it doesn’t need to hold perfectly all day to look good! A cute accent like Lively’s gold flower and some light-hold hair spray complete the style. If you need some help, check out this step by step tutorial on how to do a fishtail braid.
If you’re going for a more elegant look, these bouncy curls might be perfect for you! Use a large-barrel curling iron or hot rollers to get the size and shape, then sweep your hair to one side. You can use a combination of bobby pins and hairspray to keep hair to one side, or just tuck it behind your ear for a softer look.
Tip: if you’re curling your hair with a barrel, pinning the curl up for a moment while it cools will extend the look!
Sleek and Flirty
I have to be honest here, 75% of my life my hair is up in some kind of way. A nice bun or up-do can keep your hair out of the way but still give any look a little extra sophistication. Plus, they don’t have to be super intricate! You can just take your hair and wrap it into a bun, then add a head band for a cute touch! Or you can take it to the next level by braiding your hair back, then taking the braid and the rest of your hair and pinning it back in a low, messy fashion. Both looks will probably require a decent amount of pins and hair spray, but that’s about it as far as effort!
