You might have seen a glimpse of metallics making their way into the spotlight last fall. This year however they are in full swing all year round. The best thing about metallic colors are their versatility. You can fit them into any theme, and lend themselves very nicely to elegant, whimsical, ethereal, and especially natural weddings. “Even the most rustic brides want some sort of shine to their décor,” says Danielle Rothweiler, Celebrity wedding and event planner. A great way to carry the metallic vibe is to incorporate it into your stationary—everything from your invitation suite, to your place cards, to your menus. Foil printing is a hot trend right now due to its chic-ness, and clean, modern feel, yet it can be designed to fit any theme.

This is another carryover from last year, but who doesn’t love the romance it exudes! It colors are creams and soft greens, and of course Pantone’s colors of the year Rose Quartz and Serenity.
This is a trend I love! Rich jewel tones like emerald green, sapphire blue, and the deep purple of amethyst are rocking this year’s weddings. People have seen plenty of pastels and are looking now for that glam factor. These deep colors add dimension and a punch of color to the day—and work for every season. Whether you celebration is outdoors, pulling inspiration from the gorgeous scenery, or indoor, adding a rich elegance to the room, jewel tones are sure to wow your guests.
Nature is still a huge trend for weddings. For years weddings have been stuck indoors having to deal with terrible lighting and sometimes even worse cookie cutter decorations. If you are loving the idea of an airy affair with a reception in the woods, but know that an outdoor wedding just won’t work for you, you are not alone. This year expect people to take their love of nature to a new level by incorporating cement, cork, sticks, wood, stone, precious stones, and dense greenery into their indoor (and outdoor) spaces. These natural elements bring with it lots of texture with pops of color. The neutral colors of these natural elements are easily paired with some of this years hot color trends. Also try white features with bold florals, for a real pop of color!
The rustic wedding trend is HERE. TO. STAY. As I’ve mentioned before rustic weddings can fit so many styles. The reason rustic stays relevant is because it evolves. First, it was hay bales and boots, then burlap and mason jars, only to morph into lace and chalkboards. Now, it is heading for the elegant approach, featuring things like chandeliers, and china on a natural wooden table. Don’t get me wrong, the outdoors still plays a starring role, and couples are loving venues such as greenhouses, vineyards, woods, fresh air ceremonies and receptions, and of course barns, as top choices. But, the rustic chic look is all about enhancing the natural with some touches of glamour.
