Find What You Love
Think about a time that you were so content with just being outside that you would have done anything for another hour of sunlight. That might be playing whiffle ball with your brother in the backyard, having a bonfire with good friends, or it might be that awesome camping trip last year. Some of my favorite memories came from just sitting on top of my jeep chatting with friends a few years back, so now and then I just hang around and check out the sky from the same perch. It makes me appreciate a bright pink sunset or crisp November night a lot more. Whatever made you happy, just imagine the closest thing to it and give it a go.
Embrace Your Environment
I live in Ohio. There are no white, sandy beaches covered in shells waiting to be discovered. Instead of being upset about it, I decided to accept that fact and move on to find other outdoor activities that I enjoy. Turns out, kayaking on a lake in July makes me almost just as happy as sitting in a beach chair in Florida has. The point is, you don’t have to move to find what you want. You just have to be willing to accept your environment and realize how much cool stuff there is to do!
