1. Enjoy the BRAND NEW Hot Tub
The wait is over! The Walhonding Cabin now has a hot tub! It is perfect for relaxing on a cold winter day when your heart wants to enjoy nature and your mind is telling you that you would rather stay warm.
(update: The hot tub has been having some issues as of October 2016, and is currently out of service)
2. Sip Hot Cocoa and Relax
To me there are few things better than sipping hot cocoa on a cold winter day to melt the stresses of life away. If you are staying at The Mohican Cabin in the winter, grab your cocoa, grab a blanket, and step out on the covered back porch. Then, get cozy on the porch swing and watch the amazing view of the sun set over the Mohican Valley. Then, take your cocoa inside, because The Mohican Cabin has a beautiful stone fire place that is perfect for cozying up and cuddling on cold winter nights.
3. Play Some Board Games
There is something about being in the woods that makes people want to connect more. So, bring some board games and spend the afternoon or evening laughing and reminiscing.
4. Snuggle Up and Watch a Movie
All of the cabins and treehouses are equipped with a TV and DVD player. So, make sure you bring some movies and enjoy an evening snuggling.
5. Cook a Meal Together
When was the last time you all sat down and ate a mean together, without all of life’s distractions? All of the cabins feature a fully stocked kitchen (refrigerator, gas range, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, pots, and pans). This is the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time making a meal, and enjoying it together.
6. Slow Dance
If it is a romantic getaway, bring your speakers and plug in your iPod. Dim the lights, play some music and just slow dance for a little while.
7. Ask Some "Get To Know You" Questions
This is something everyone can do, whether you are at the cabins with a group of friends, or with family. These “get to know you” questions will get you talking, reminiscing, and probably laughing about things you didn’t know about each other. Everyone can write a question on a piece of paper and put it in a bowl. Take turns picking a question, and go around the circle and listen to everyone’s answer. Here are some examples (but feel free to add your own):
8. Build a Snowman
9. Have a Snowball Fight
10. Go For a Winter Hike
11. Bird Watch
